York Colleges Guild
Welcome to YCG

The York Colleges Guild is a friendly group of bellringing students from the University of York and York St Johns who ring the bells at churches across York.

We hold weekly practices of tower bells and semi-regular hand-bell practices. We also have a variety of weekly socials, on campus and in the city itself. In recent weeks, these have included film nights, Mario Kart, and the annual scavenger hunt. Impromptu socials also seem to happen quite frequently, where we usually have a catch-up over a pint at one of the student bars on campus. See events page for more info on these (apart from the impromptu socials - it's in the name ;)

If you would like to join us or are visiting York from another university for a few days please drop us a message so we can get you involved!

With congratulations to William J Lake for the completion of his final exams and upcoming graduation. Also wishing him well as he leaves us to begin a new life in London - Southwark; you have been warned!
Also a birthday salutation to His Excellence, Our Lord High Ringing Master, Matthew O Hall, welcoming him to the Roaring Twenties.
Rung also for Father's Day, and for the birthday of HM King Charles III
Superb recovery in the sixth extent: 2
The band would like to associate William M Regan (Friend) with this peal (whether he likes it or not!).

First quarter peal in a dress for all. (Last? Time will tell....)
Rung to prove that ringing in dresses is not as easy as it looks. (Mixed consensus).
Rung in anticipation of NUA, and a welcome to everyone who is descending on York this weekend.
The band would like to associate William M Regan (friend) with this quarter peal. Here in spirit but not in body. The band would like to make clear that he did buy a dress for this occasion; he just failed to make use of it.....
